A multi-disciplinary independent consulting firm, Lanpro specialises in planning, infrastructure, urban design, architecture, landscape Architecture, and has been the lead multidisciplinary consultancy on major scale renewable energy solar projects nationwide. Lanpro is one of the 10 fastest growing planning firms in the UK. Lanpro has been a Rapport3 client since 2018 and have optimised functionality to support its growth goals. They joined us to empower and streamline their projects. They took on our projects module to manage their costs easier & deliver projects more profitably, whilst helping the finance team with reconciliation processes.

Lanpro chose our main module, Project Costing, which covered all their administrative, project costing and project accounting needs. With features such as QA, timesheets, resource planning, business intelligence, budget planning, expenses and team management all displayed on sophisticated dashboards, our Project Costing module was a great option to help Lanpro work smarter, faster, and more efficiently.
Managing costs and invoicing has become much easier for Lanpro after adopting Rapport3, Nick, Project Accountant for Lanpro commented:

When asked how Rapport3 compares to systems used alone beforehand, Nick Clarke, Project Accountant of Lanpro, answered: “One of the most significant benefits I have witnessed is Rapport3’s streamlined exporting function. Downloading data has become very simple with Rapport3 using their direct data feed into Excel. When we first moved across to Rapport3, our data was spread across lots of different reports and we were downloading them, putting them together, doing so many functions and everything was all over the place. We just had too much data and didn’t know what to do with it.”
“We then got Rapport3 to do a custom screen report for us. We have been using this since 2019. The custom report saves us multiple hours a week. We can just download this centralised Rapport3 data rather than downloading 4-5 different reports and manually putting them together with formulas.”

We asked Nick about how Rapport3 has helped them provide financial analysis for each of the different disciplines. He answered, “It’s definitely helped us work with more disciplines. When we started with Rapport3, we only had three disciplines. We are now a nine-discipline strong consultancy. We have been on an strong organic expansion plan in terms of staff and capabilities and Rapport3 has been there providing the basis for us across all the disciplines, including keeping us on track with projects while onboarding new staff. Since partnering with Cubic we have added Arboriculture, Ecology, Landscape Architecture, Heritage, Masterplanning & Urban Design to our available services”.
Rapport3 not only helped Lanpro maintain and manage their existing disciplines but also helped them expand their disciplines. Nick commented on how Rapport3 helped them expand and predict future project success and financials.
“We adopted Rapport3 just a month before I joined the team. At that time, we didn’t really have much data at all. With Rapport3 we now look at previous data but also investigate 3 to 6 months into our future as well. Overall, Rapport3 has helped us predict the future of our financials and projects”.

Lanpro have also utilised Cubic and Rapport3’s PowerBI offering in recent years, including a set of custom reports and visualisations that are being expanded, Nick commented the following on the usefulness of the reports, “We also use PowerBI to improve our data and data manipulation. We had Amy set up bespoke PowerBI reports for us. The reports have enabled us to drill into data in real time, something that would be a very manual process before taking hours of admin time and also visualised data to be more engaging with staff.”
