Concept i Go Live in Thailand with Rapport3
Jan 06, 2021

After joining Cubic Interactive in July 2020, we are pleased that award-winning Thailand-based interior design and architecture studio, Concept i, has now gone live with Rapport3.

Thailand and the APAC region is a relatively new focus for our AEC Project Accounting solution, Rapport3, but we already have a range of exceptional new clients in the region - particularly in Bangkok, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Sydney, Melbourne, and New Zealand. Following the announcement of our new client, Concept i, this August, we are pleased to confirm that they have now gone live with the Rapport3 system. The implementation and migration of their existing data into the system has been completed and they are now up and running, making the most of the benefits that Rapport3 brings to the business.

The time from order to go-live with Rapport3 was around four and a half months for Concept i, despite the time difference between the UK and Thailand, thanks to both sides maximising the 4-5 hours of crossover time available each day. In regards to training, we trained the main staff, who then went on to train the remainder of staff at Concept i to streamline the process and make transition more efficient. Concept i only had about 20 projects to migrate into the system, which made data migration quick and simple.

Who is Concept i?

Concept i is an award-winning interior design and architecture studio based in Bangkok and Shanghai. They undertake retail, commercial, and entertainment projects globally, receiving top industry awards and recognition from peer institutes such as the ICSC, IAAPA and International Property Awards.

They came on board in July 2020, when they chose to migrate to our main Project Costing module and our HR module. Their aim was to rationalise their systems and costs with a more integrated solution, after previously having several systems performing the same functions as Rapport3.

How is Rapport3 improving their project processes?

Using various spreadsheets for project and staff information was inefficient for Concept i, so having one sophisticated system with intelligent reporting was an important move for them. They can now access all business information through a single interface (R3), allowing them to deliver key financial information to the appropriate person in the organisation.

Our Project Costing module displays key information concerning resource planning, business intelligence, budget planning, expenses, QA, team management and more on sophisticated dashboards with intelligent reporting capabilities. With a wide range of projects in a variety of industries and countries, our Project Costing module is helping Concept i to monitor and deliver projects, as well as providing automatic data and analysis on related project information.

Our HR module, with features such as a Staff Skills Base, CPD, Benefits and Recruitment, allows Concept i to monitor their talented employees across their Bangkok and Shanghai offices, both in regards to their project work and recognising potential areas for growth. As a multi-disciplinary practice, with in-house teams of interior designers, architects, theme designers, lighting, graphics and branding designers, our HR module is useful to enable Concept i to keep track of their staff as they keep track of their project and ensure they have the right people on every job, as well as taking care of them as individuals.

We are glad that Concept i were extremely pleased with the implementation and how it went for them. We hope they continue to enjoy their experience of Project Management and Accounting with Rapport3.
