Rapport3 2016, A year in review

What a ride 2016 has been!  We have seen the team grow as well as our client list with some impressive practices making use of Rapport3. Our Blog has covered everything from Rapport3 tips and tricks, Brexit, Augmented reality as well as the many events we have held and been part of.

We look back at our top articles from the past year.

We kicked off the year with a few tips to help you make the most of using your CRM to plan your future business development for 2016.  We hope you took note of some of these tips and are starting to see your Business Development plans grow.

By the start of  2016, 70% of existing Rapport3 users were utilising the cloud with  100% of new rapport3 clients over the past 3 years being cloud-based resulting in these practices working within a more collaborative, adaptive and virtual environment. Lorna, our Canada-based Business Development Manager echoed this information when she wrote about how much the Cloud can bring many benefits.

Our Annual User group held at The Building Centre, London was the best yet! We had a fantastic turnout and feedback was really positive. It was the ideal opportunity to keep everyone updated on all the Rapport3 developments such as the new mobile app and the newly revamped Quality Assurance module.


In June, uncertainty filled the air with the decision to leave or remain in the EU as we covered the arguments for and against. A few weeks later the decision to leave was still creating a significant shock reaction across the industry and we helped to separate the facts from the fiction  surrounding this as well as give some top tips to help practices avoid a Brexit Burn.

The summer months weren’t all doom and gloom, many of us saw the wildly popular game Pokémon Go – Niantic’s location-based augmented reality (AR) mobile game take the world by storm.  We investigated how AR is slowly finding its way onto project sites as the industry has started to realise the wealth of design and construction uses it can bring.

On a more relevant note, we announced our plans to focus further on Ireland and already we are starting to see the positive results!

The potential benefits for mobile working, particularly in the AEC industry are considerable, with the use of smartphones and tablets having the power to transform your working practices adding real value to the life cycle of your project. We gave you the 5 benefits of going mobile   which was swiftly followed by the announcement at the beginning of  November that the Rapport3 mobile app had finally gone live!  


December saw Paul Wilkinson, leading construction technology consultant and the writer behind Extranet Evolution publish an article on his website outlining the capabilities of our Rapport3 Practice Management software alongside 3rd Part Integrations. This begged the question, are we fulfilling your Integration needs?  

The article details the investment we are making to ensure Rapport3 Project management software interfaces effectively with other systems already in use in your company and marks an exciting key change in the amount of development time integrations will receive.
